William H. Scott III Volunteer of the Year Award

The William H. Scott III Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding AGC Houston member who demonstrates exceptional commitment, leadership, and service to the Chapter. It honors one of the most dedicated volunteers and industry leaders in our Chapter's history, William H. Scott III, by celebrating a member who consistently goes above and beyond in their involvement and service.

This award is presented to a member who actively serves on one or more AGC Houston committees, contributes their time and expertise, and plays a meaningful role in advancing the mission and impact of AGC Houston.

William H. Scott III holds a unique place in AGC Houston history as one of the only members to serve as Chairman of the Board twice, first in 2004 and again in 2013–2014. Beyond his time as Chairman, he was a consistent volunteer, sharing his industry experience, serving on committees, and guiding chapter initiatives that strengthened the organization and brought value to its members.

In 2020, AGC Houston established the William H. Scott III Volunteer of the Year Award to honor his legacy and the spirit of service he represents, celebrating members who, like William, go above and beyond to support the chapter and the industry.

Who Can Be Nominated

All construction industry employees are eligible, including those working for general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and service companies.
