Message from the President/CEO
Remaining Cautious is Essential
March 4, 2021 - AGC Houston welcomes Governor Greg Abbott's executive order allowing businesses that have been closed or seriously impacted by COVID-19 the opportunity to hit the restart button and/or ramp up their operations.
However, now is not the time for members of the commercial construction industry to loosen restrictions, but rather stay the course. That means continuing with the recommended jobsite practices developed at the outset of the pandemic, as well as any other protocols your company may have put in place. Although vaccinations continue to rise, and cases and hospitalizations are on the decline, individuals continue to contract the virus.
It was through the efforts of many of our members that not only helped our industry merit the “essential” tag, but also ensured that our workers were put in the safest work environments possible. Now is not the time to lose focus and diminish in any way the outstanding work of AGC and its members over the past twelve months. Let’s finish how we started – strong and committed.
It is essential that we do so!
