On May 9, 2017, AGC Houston presented 18 Houston-area college-bound and university students with scholarships totaling $45,000. For the past 22 years, the AGC Houston Scholarship Program has conferred 139 scholarships to students pursuing degrees in construction-related discipline. To date, AGC Houston has awarded $462,000 in scholarships.

The Construction Leadership Council is a national AGC initiative designed to address the needs of young professionals in the construction industry. In 2014, the AGC Houston CLC Committee donated a flagpole, complete with the United States and Texas flags to the City of Houston's Hermann Park Golf Course to commemorate the event's 10th Anniversary.
