Excellence in Safety Award

Established in 1993 by the AGC Houston Safety Committee to recognize the outstanding career in safety of its namesake, Mr. Lambright's career spanned more than 37 years and was instrumental in instituting many of the policies we follow today.

Nominations

AGC Houston Members are encouraged to nominate an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and a personal commitment in directing their company’s safety and health program in advancing the safety of all construction workers. Nominations may be submitted by the individuals’ companies, their peers or associates. This award is intended to recognize company safety directors, however other individuals who have provided significant leadership in improving construction safety may be considered by the awards committee.

Recipients of the Ray Lambright Award will be announced at the annual AGC Houston Mid-Year Meeting on June 20, 2012. A permanent plaque which bears the names of all recipients of The Ray Lambright Excellence in Safety Award is on display at the AGC Houston building.
