Construction Leadership Council
The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) is a national AGC initiative designed to address the needs of young professionals in the industry. Through educational programs and events that focus on the professional development and leadership skills of the industry's future leaders, the CLC offers members the opportunity to exchange ideas and to learn from experts about issues facing construction professionals.

YOUR VISION. OUR VALUE.
AIA/AGC Joint Committee
Working together for 40 years, the AGC and the American Institute of Architects have published a 61-part Recommended Practices primer - the local authority for quality building processes.
Construction Career Collaborative
The Construction Career Collaborative (C3) evolved to address the needs of the future workforce. It was agreed that following three main, owner enforced, principles - hourly and overtime payment standards, safety training and craft training - this alliance of socially responsible owners, contractors and specialty contractors could positively affect the growth of a sustainable workforce in this region. As the research indicates, "the development of a professional craft workforce through the partnership of owners, contractors and subcontractors will produce significant benefits to all stakeholders" and the public they serve.
Enhanced Construction Efficiency
AGC collaborates with you to formalize project delivery methods that save time and reduce costs. Working together with organizations such as the Council of Educational Facility Planners International, AGC has developed widely used reference manuals to help school districts and colleges better utilize and more smoothly implement alternative delivery systems. And AGC has aided governmental entities to more comprehensively understand and quickly adopt alternative methods that help them better control capital budgets and enhance the quality of public facilities.
Construction Industry Council
Since 1968, AGC has worked closely with the City of Houston on enacting codes appropriate to the construction and facility management costs realities specific to our area.
Legislation and Political Advocacy
AGC is an active supporter of legislation that promotes intelligent and efficient growth in the Houston region.
Green Building Education
AGC is a founding steering committee member of the Houston Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, the primary advocate for education and implementation of quality green building practices.
