AGC is proud to be a founding participant in the ConsensusDOCS program. This historic program covers all construction contracting needs with over 70 + industry-tested contracts and forms. DOCS stands for Designers, Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors and Sureties - all involved in the drafting of these documents.

The goal of ConsensusDOCS is to better the industry by providing standard contract documents that reflect a consensus for best practices. Using these documents will allow parties to focus on project results rather than negotiating contract terms or worse, contract claims in court, to assess fault. There are over 70 documents that represent all project delivery systems, from design-bid-build through new collaborative methods.

ConsensusDOCS are organized into five series:

General Contracting
Collaborative Agreements
Design-Build
Construction Management & Program Management
Subcontracting

What is DocuBuilder software?

This is the only method to access the ConsensusDOCS contract documents. All you have to do is download the DocuBuilder software and you’ll have over 70 standardized documents at your fingertips anytime. Install DocuBuilder® on your LAN and share documents via email, too. There are two methods to get the DocuBuilder software; Annual Subscription and Meter Mode.

What is Meter Mode?
Instead of an annual subscription to DocuBuilder®, you may deposit $200 to create an online account and view the entire text of the documents at no charge. Access, edit, and share any document, and only pay when you print final drafts of the documents. Final outputs will charge your account in the amount established on the Meter Value Chart for that document. For example, an agreement typically costs $35 and an administrative form costs $5. You may replenish your account in $50 increments at any time 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
